Mystery Block

I am in the mood to do a mystery block. Paper Panache just put out the new one so I went right over and printed it out. I started with piece B that fit into the palm of my hand. It has 13 tiny pieces.

I had quite a time trying to find 3 "salmon" colored fabrics. I really liked the color of the darker flowers in this fabric
and cut them out to use for the darkest salmon fabric. After a trip to the basement to look for more fabric, I finally just decided to mix pink and salmon. We shall see what happens.

My initial "feeling" is that this will be a flower. There are blue fabrics (sky), green (leaves) and salmon/pink with some brown and black. A big poppy was the first thing that came to my mind.

It didn't take long for me to toss out that theory. After completing just one section, I had a good idea of what it will be. Here's a little teaser (I won't show it all until the mystery is revealed on the site).

I still have to do all of these.

I can't wait to see the whole block. These mystery blocks are so much fun. Linda at Paper Panache does a great job making them.

Pretty sure I know what that is going to be! But I won't spoil it for anyone.
I've got to check out that site...this would be fun to do and then make a sampler of them or something....what to you do with your blocks?

I go to that site for each pattern and either print them out or save them to file. I have to admit that I haven't pieced one of them yet. They are wonderful patterns though. One of these days...

I think I can tell what it is. Looks like a great pattern. I should try some of those someday...after I finish my other 100 or so projects...
