Mystery Block

Last weekend I finally got around to making the mystery block from Paper Panache. I only needed small scraps of fabric.

I selected them according to the chart provided. Keen readers will see that I actually changed the fabric from this photo.
It helps to put your fabric right next to the chart so you know at a glance which to use. Believe me, it is easy to mix them up. Just by looking at the colors, I knew what the block would be, but those angular hot pink pieces were a puzzle at first. Can you guess what it is by looking at these completed sections? If you are making it and don't want to know, DON'T read any further.
WOW! It's even better than I thought it would be. I was pretty sure it was a flower, but the heart around the rose was a complete surprise.
This is not a beginner's block. You have to figure out how to put it all together and let me tell you that section of leaves was pretty tricky.
