Silly Chicken

I have not worked on the handbags in the past couple of days. I have been going into work about 1/2 hr. earlier than normal and it's cutting in to my sewing time!

I did feel like puttering around with something early Saturday morning and I made this Silly Chicken block.

It's a free pattern from Quilter's Cache. I've made a few of them. They are just a fun block to make when you feel like creating something, but you don't want to put in a lot of effort.

I don't know what will become of these chicken blocks, but I am sure that one day they will be just what I need to finish something.

Has anyone made this block? What did you end up doing with it?

I did this block with my online guild a few years back. The results were terrific. I don't know what the winner did with the blocks. I'll send you and email with the pics.

I have never seen this block before but I LOVE it. I will definitely have to hunt this chicken down and make one for my own
Is there a whole flock out there????

I have been having fun catching up on your posts. While I have not made this particular chicken block, I made some similar blocks a few years ago and put them in a row by row quilt (those are a lot of fun to make). Loved your "button fly" embellishment on your purse post. :)
