X Marks the Spot

I finally chose a 6-inch block to use the aqua/orange fabric in my last post.

The completed block. I put four of them together and this is what I ended up with:
I will make two more of these 12-inch blocks and two triangles and I will have a tablerunner. I think these salad plates will go nicely with the runner.

As I was making this block, it felt familiar, like I had already made it before. While searching for the picture of that orange plate, I realized I had and it was for a tablerunner to match the same plates! I just used a smaller (3-inch block)!
