I Had High Hopes

I went and bought 2 yds of black fabric Monday so that I could try out an idea I had to make a scrap quilt using black as the background color. I thought I would use up all my little pieces of fabric to make the scrappy squares. I made four of these 4.5" blocks.
When I sewed them together, I didn't like it much at all.

I think I will try another pattern another day. If I don't love it, there is no sense wasting any more time --this one goes in the pot holder pile.
