While reading my emails this morning, I came across The Quilt Show Newsletter. Their picture of the quilt for their block of the month caught my eye.
I have been trying to decide what to do with a large rooster block I paper-pieced last winter. I think it would look great as the center medallion of the quilt they are making.
The rooster star in the center is my block.
Here is a close up of the colorful bird.
I admired him on another blogger's site. When I asked her where she found the pattern, she graciously offered to send it to me. Her name is Nannette, so I call this block, "Nanette's Rooster".
What do you think? Does this setting do justice for Nanette's Rooster?
